King Car Rally ... a NEW ASK adventure ...
What is the Car Rally Event?
Arts Society King (ASK) is please to bring back our very successful car rally event that first happened in October 2014. Well over 100 people toured King Township in pursuit of treasures and gems with fun trivia along the way. NEW stops have been designed, NEW architectural gems are looking to be found. The 2017 KING CAR RALLY welcomes you to join us for not only the tour, but a gourmet finale dinner with prizes and more. with the perfect opportunity for King residents and friends to make up a team, then gas up their family van, hop into their sports car, climb aboard the pick-up, or dust off the vintage auto, and explore the beautiful King countryside with new eyes.
Exciting challenges await each team as they explore a township unlike any other in Ontario. This adventure tour winds its way through the very best of King: unique villages and towns, sparkling rivers, lakes and wetlands, parks, forests and nature trails, all decked out in the brilliant greens of spring. Teams will discover a King Township they never knew existed as they find hidden trails, meet local characters, test their agility, pick up gardening tips, taste local delicacies, learn about heritage gems, and have an afternoon full of fun.
The route begins just after noon at a heritage stop in King City, then travels through the Ontario bread basket aka Holland Marsh and the quaint village of Ansnorveldt. Then we head down through the sights of the Nobleton area and around through Schomberg. Along the way, participants will meet delightful King folks: historic heroes, farmers, landscapers, sports stars, animal-lovers, artists, and chefs. During the journey the passengers will test themselves with tricky trivia puzzles and quizzes. At the end of the road, everyone will gather at a unique private estate to enjoy a glass of wine and feast on a delicious duck dinner.
